- When making your own silicone mass, it is important that you create a mold that fits your needs and specifications. You can utilize standard release agents when making your own casting resin molds. This will help your silicone mold shell to last longer, but won't degrade the finish of the final resin piece. tip: Use standard release agents only for harder to mold curved shapes or if you notice the quality of your silicone mold's resin is degrading.

- Always keep your mold making kit in a well-ventilated area. Mold can become toxic and it is better to prevent its release to the air than to fix the problem later on. It is best that you can have your molds in a room temperature at all times and place them there for a period of 12 hours. This allows the kit to settle at room temperature, preventing the mold from collapsing due to high humidity.

- Before you start mixing the liquid resins, you must pour the amazonites or play into a mixing container with a stirrer. If you are using a clay bar, this should be a ceramic bowl. The mixing process is done by stirring the amazonite/clay mixture thoroughly until the clays are completely mixed with the amazonite salt or resin. Mixing ratio is important because a certain texture can be desired from the resulting product. But most commonly, the texture is achieved by a fine sanding of the mixture.

- A silicone mold without any resin should be cleaned thoroughly with soap and water. This will remove any mineral deposits on the resin. Any mineral deposits that were not dissolved before pouring the resin into the mold should be removed while mixing the epoxy resin into the silicone mold without any additional liquid. If there are still mineral deposits, they can be dissolved prior to pouring the resin into the mold. Do not mix the epoxy resin with any other liquid.

- Lastly, before proceeding, the silicone rubber sheet must be cut into the required lengths. These pieces are then placed over the molds and any other required materials. Make sure to check the clearances of the molds while making sure the pieces are aligned perfectly. Use a level while pouring the materials into the molds to ensure there are no clumps. After the molds are filled, allow some time for the cooling process.
